Let's Start With Ourselves!

Omer was in trouble, he could not study at all and his exam was in a couple of minutes. During his way to the college, he had managed to scribble notes on his palm which one of his friends had mentioned to be important. When the question paper was distributed, luckily, a question did appear asking of the notes he had on his palm, which he jotted down quickly. The answers to the other questions were dictated to him by his friends.

Later that day, his friends got in a heated argument regarding the amount of corruption that was taking place in the country. Omer had a thousand things to say against the corruption that was being done by the dishonest politicians and if he got a chance he would change the whole system.
To him, there was a vast difference between cheating and corruption and on one hand where he regarded cheating as acceptable, on the other, corruption was a no. But was it? At that time, the platform that Omer had was very small but what was wrong was wrong, be it big or small. What guarantee did he have that he wouldn’t follow the same footsteps later in life?
If you have the courage to do something wrong now, so how can you be sure you wouldn’t use the bigger means to cause a greater harm? If you want to be honest in your life, be honest in each and every way. When you step in to the professional world, make sure that you help put a stop to corruption so that we can rise above all. Because a nation cannot change until we do not start with ourselves.
